The B&B “Antico Hospitale Dogliani” occupies the main floor of a 16th century house. The building belonged to a religious order and many traces of that period are still preserved in the reworkings of the centuries. The current access staircase is located where the monks once had their chapel. The first floor preserves the ancient vaults and in the “Duomo” room the pillars of the small dome are clearly visible. The “Sacrestia”, with its carved vault and original doors next to the chapel, was a place of service for religious activities.
The structure overlooks a quiet square near the central street of the village, a few meters from the Parish Church of SS. Quirico and Paolo. The location, ideal for exploring the area, allows you to experience up close the life in the Langhe and all the prestigious events that take place throughout the year in this lively town. Every Tuesday morning it will also be possible to wake up in the heart of one of the most historic and animated markets in the Langhe.

The B&B “Antico Hospitale Dogliani” occupies the main floor of a 16th century house. The building belonged to a religious order and many traces of that period are still preserved in the reworkings of the centuries. The current access staircase is located where the monks once had their chapel.

The Langhe are a magical place in every season, a territory that cannot be told with an image because it is above all love for the land, enchanted landscapes, small villages and ancient castles… It is the wise hand of men who has shaped sinuous hills in orderly and infinite geometries of precious rows of vines. The Langhe are a hard land, cultivated for centuries, which reward you with precious and always different tastes.
The Langhe are the magic of colors and silence, they are a kind of green you cannot forget, a life connecting past and present without strident passages. Even when the sky becomes less clear and the first mists get more enveloping, it is the parfume of the wanted truffle from Alba, the taste of the “ravioli del plin”, the raw meat worked with the knife by experienced hands, the ruby red of sublime wines that invite you, marking the road of taste that you would not give up. They are moments of time during which you can grasp the strong connection between the man and its land, the respect for it and the pride of belonging to it.

The parish church, the neo-Gothic spires of the monumental entrance to the cemetery, the tower adjacent to the Town Hall, the pylons of the Way of the Cross represent the unmistakable sign of an architecture as original as it is unique.
The Library “Luigi Einaudi”, designed by Bruno Zevi, resting like a boat on the banks of the river is a symbol of the cultural vitality of the country that was home to Luigi Einaudi, President of the Italian Republic. This model library is now home to prestigious cultural meetings.
